Thank you for the assistance, the issue was with pervasive - had to reinstall and it was working.

Another question. to why pervasive was an issue she had both workgroup v9 and workgroup v10 on her machine, one for pastel partner and the other for payroll.

Is it possible to downgrade payroll to use the same workgroup v9 as partner so that it does not conflict on her system?

You cannot have more than one version of Pervasive installed on same machine. In your client's case we recommend that they upgrade to Pervasive Version 10 for Partner. If it's single user the client can just install Pervasive Workgroup Version 10 and there are no costs involved. However, if it's multi-user you need to contact our Sales Team on [email protected] or 011 304 3650 so they can advise how much the upgrade will cost.

HI there I would like to avoid upgrade as it is multi-user instead i will downgrade payroll to v9 as that is a single user license

Pervasive Workgroup upgrades are usually not too expensive. Also keep in mind that newer versions of Windows might have an issue running Pervasive Version 9. If Payroll is single user then it shouldn't be a problem running it on Version 9. Meaning you don't have to do the downgrade. You should be able to open Payroll on Pervasive Version 9 without having to downgrade but you can contact Payroll Support to confirm.
