Takeoffs

SUGGESTED

We are just getting started using Sage 100 Basic Estimating (not stand alone).  Is there a way to save multiple takeoffs for one job.  We often revise due to clients budgets, design changes, alternates and so on.  Is there any way to save multiple takeoffs to go back and forth for review?

    Hi Karen

GHollister is correct, only one takeoff per job.  However, if the takeoff is changing after the budget was established, that can be handled by adding bid items as type = change order.  The changes if approved can be exported as a change order and not override the original bid/budget.  Bid items allow the additional tabs within the estimate.

However if you are talking about having multiple takeoffs for the same job during the original bid process, then Kathy's idea of using templates will work until you finalize which version is the starting budget.
