TUG Conference Info Request

Hello everyone! My employer recently sent me a link for the TUG National User Conference and asked if we (the office personnel who use Sage 100 Contractor) would be interested in attending and if we thought it would be beneficial to us. We are not currently part of the TUG users group, so I have a few questions.

Do you need to be a TUG member to be able to attend the conference?

If anyone here been to a previous TUG conference, would you  recommend it to other Sage 100 Contractor users?

What more does a TUG membership offer than the Sage Community Hub?

Any additional thoughts/Reviews about TUG would be so appreciated.

Thank you all in advance!!

  • Aloha Lilah!  I have been an active member of TUG for close to 10 years and have presented at just about every conference.  We strive to offer content that will benefit your day-to-day use of the software, as well as provide opportunities for you to network with other users, see what the latest software add-ons are, etc.

You don't need to be a member of TUG to attend.  The price is a bit higher, and you'll find that the price difference is equivalent to a 1 year membershp in TUG, so most folks go ahead and join.

Your membership provides opportunities to attend Sage 100 Contractor Community meetings and various webinars throughout the month.  There is also a year-end series of webinars held each year.  We have a monthly publication called the TUG Pulse that has articles of interest for all of the TUG Communities.  There is also an area called TUG Talk that would be similar to the Sage Community Hub where you have an opportunity to ask questions of other users.  You can find more information at https://www.tugweb.com/

I would highly recommend TUG as an additional resource to learn more about your software and interact with others who also use the program.

Thank you for the info, Kathy. Do you happen to know if there is info anywhere to see a more detailed description of the sessions offered at the conference?  I've been using Sage 100 Contractor(Master Builder) for over 10 years and have a pretty in depth understanding of how it works and how to find information about new features, and when I have questions, the Sage Community Hub has been a great resource with tons of helpful people like yourself! If I ask my employer to send me to the conference, I just want to make sure they get a bang for their buck.
