Timeslips 2019 - Format of Aged A/R Balances Report

SOLVED

Hi.  We just upgraded from Timeslips 2015 to 2019 and can no longer print Aged A/R Balances report directly from Timeslips because the first 2 columns run together and the large right margin cannot be adjusted.  Even changing the report to landscape format doesn't help.  The same report ran fine in TS 2015, but now we have to print it to Excel and adjust the columns there.  Any help with this issue would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Do you have it set to print the names on the same line as the balances? This is set in options. Try turning it off. Are you printing to the screen and then the printer? If so, try printing directly to the printer. Beyond that, we could try deleting your report definition and recreating it as I haven't seen this problem on other users systems.

Thank you, Caren.  I've printed it all different ways with the same result, and I need to keep the names on the same line as the balances.  I was told by TS Support that this was a known (and apparently not reparable) glitch with the 2019 upgrade, but was hoping someone on here had a different answer.  What would be involved with recreating the report, i.e., is it simple enough to do myself?  I run this report at least twice a week and can't afford to lose access to it.

Thanks so much for your help!

Just delete the report from your list of reports. If you have multiple copies, delete all. Then go to Reports > Create a Report ? Add a specific standard Report to the Report list and follow the prompts.

Well, that was simpler than I thought but it didn't fix the issue.  I can print to Excel without too much hassle, but I hate to lose the ability to print from TS that was so easy in the 2015 version.  If you have any other suggestions please let me know.  Thanks again for your help!

Make sure you are on the lastest build of 2019. In help | about, look at what your build number is. Also note if the version is premium or just 2019. The most current build is 27.0.2.232 which is called service release 2 (SR2). If you are on 27.0.0.x or 27.0.1.x then get the latest buld. There were 2 fixes specific to that report in SR2. To get the latest release go to Help | Sage Support | Downloads and Updates. If you are premium, download the "Sage Timeslips Premium August 2018 Update". If you are 2019, download the "Sage Timeslips 2019 August 2018 Update".

If you are on or get to SR2 and the report still doesn't look right, can you post a screen shot of what the report looks like.

    Thank you

I don't believe we have the premium version, and the build is 27.0.2.233.  I've attached a redacted pdf of what the printed report looks like, although the right margin is much larger when just printed to display.  Thanks for your help.

Can you test printing directly to a PDF for me as a test?  I.e., queue it up to print, but don't print to Display first, choose PDF instead of Display.

Does it look right in the resulting PDF?

With the help of that example, I just confirmed that the combination of the options "Place name on the same line as values" and "Also show this name" does not have enough room in SR2. I tested it in SR3 and it works and SR3 will be released this month. It should be out before Christmas. Until then, you can change either one of those options or, like the others have stated, print to Excel and give the column more room.

No, it still looks the same.  I'm hoping the issue is in Sam's answer above and will be solved with the release of SR3.  Any other suggestions, please let me know.  I appreciate for your help!

Thank you!  I'm really hoping this is the solution.  Do you know if it's an automatic update?
