Tab key not working in Slip Entry (Timeslips 2015)

If I type a NEW description in the Reference field, then the Tab key does not respond to move from the Reference field to the Extra field.  I have to reach up to the mouse to click my cursor to the Extra field.  However, if I select an EXISTING description in the Reference field, then the Tab key DOES work to then move to the Extra field.  I reported this issue once before in April 2017, and was suggested to try Setup>Preferences>Slip Entry>Tab Order>Reset.  However, this did not work.  (Also, I would like to note that the Tab feature DID work in the past for me, before April 2017, then just stopped working all of a sudden.  And it DOES still work on my co-worker's computer.)  Thank you.

    That's sort of an odd one, but let's start with checking to make sure that you do NOT have this option checked in your Preferences.

    Okay, I looked and verified I do NOT have this option checked.  Any other ideas?

    Nancy, or anyone, are there any other ideas on why my Tab key has stopped working for me as described in my original post?

    For any other users with the same issue, I did not receive a solution to this problem (Tab key not working).

    If I type a NEW description in the Reference field, then the Tab key does not respond to move from the Reference field to the Extra field.

    I'm curious to know what these steps look like. Can you list each key press as you're entering the new reference vs. choosing an existing one? (I just want to be sure we're understanding the steps, since my terminology might not be the same as yours.)

    Here are my steps for choosing an EXISTING Reference:

    I enter the User, Tab, Task, Tab, Account, Tab, now I'm at the Reference field and I start typing letters until the correct existing reference pops up in the Reference field.

    Now I Tab to the next field which is the Extra field.  If I need to type something additional here, I do so at this point.  Otherwise, I leave the Extra field blank and I Tab down to Start date and continue with my data entry.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Here are my steps for entering a NEW Reference:
    I enter the User, Tab, Task, Tab, Account, Tab, now I'm at the Reference field and I need to type in a new reference, so I do the following:
    Right click the mouse,
    Left click "New",
    Type the new reference description,
    The word "OK" is already highlighted, so I press Enter to close the window,
    (Now at this point is where the Tab key won't work.......)
    If I try to Tab to the next field which is the Extra field, the Tab key does not respond.
    (Nor does hitting the Enter key.)
    I have to reach back up to the mouse to click on the Extra field, type something there if needed, and now Tab suddenly works again to move forward through the rest of the fields.
    Thanks.
    I tried your steps and couldn't reproduce your problem. One idea to try is to set a jump key for the Extra field.
    - Go to Setup > Preferences > Slip Entry.
    - On the Tab Order list at the bottom of the screen, mark the checkbox next to the "Custom" field in the Jump column. (The Custom field is the Extra field.)
    - Click OK.
    - Go back to a slip and see if you can recreate the problem. If you get stuck, press the F7 key (which is the Jump key). Maybe it will jump to the Extra field.
    If this doesn't work, I'm not sure I have another idea, since I can't recreate this problem.
    Thanks for your reply.....I work in a tax office and tax season is in full swing, so I haven't had time to try your suggestions, but will look forward to doing so later!
