Error Code 303
What is this error and how to correct or fix?
The same error message has reappeared. It states
Dynamic SQL Error
SQL error code = -303
arithmetic exception, numeric overflow, or string truncation
string right truncation
error class: EIBNativeException
Error Code 335544569
What function is being performed when tis occurs? What version/build of Timeslips is this?
"String truncation right" means that a data field is longer than expected/allowed and is being truncated to fit the requirement of the data field(s).
Did not work. I tried using different versions of the navigator and get the same error. I thought it might be related to using a long "reference to" in the client info, but, that did not solve the issues either.
Just to verify, Wayne. You changed the Navigator to Classic Mode, correct?
I tried every version of the classic mode - saved and exited and logged back in. Same error message just after the program reads the databases.
waynet11, how about one more time with no navigator whatsoever? I suspect it will still error, but easy enough to rule out.

No luck. Tried no navigator and also turned off some other items and still get the same error.
Now, timeslips logs in with no error message. No change in settings of Timeslips. Windows 10 did an update recently that may have changed the behavior but no settings were changed in Timeslips by me.
Hummmm, that's interesting. But hey @waynet11, take credit for the win! ;-)

error has reappeared. This time I noted that the error happens when syncing the names to outlook just after the 'acquiring names from outlook'. When I unclick the 'sync outlook names at start up box', the error does not occur.
Do you actually want to sync with Outlook? The VAST majority of my clients do not. You can turn the feature off under Setup, Features Enabled.

I intended the sync and had no problem for years. For some reason, the outlook client sync is now occasionally causing the error. I must have changed client info somewhere that removed the error. I added a couple of new clients recently and I'll take a look at information and see if I can see an issue with too much information. I turned off the automatic sync for now.
