Data Purge Parameters

Hi,

We are a Blending & Packaging plant and have v9 Patch 5.

We have 'never' archived/purged in our Sage X3 (EM) so we have over 10yrs of data (Since June 2008...)

We've started to purge out some old data like the ATRACE and investigating into the others like AUDIT, ASUIVI and AMESSAGE.

We were wondering if anybody has setup the Archive/Purge process on certain modules.  If you Archive, does it create a new End Point to log into or are they flat files?  What Data Retention Best Practices are there?

OR

Did anybody purchase an Add On or a 3rd party software (aka Solix Enterprise Archiving) to perform their Archiving/Purging?

Forgot to mention that we use AUC (Average Cost) for our Products because we do product them here... so i don't know if we need to keep all the data in certain modules to ensure the AUC works?
