Consequences of MRP Daily bucket set to 0

Looking through the training material for MRP, most of the suggestions have the daily bucket set to 30.  What are the consequences of having it set to 0 ?

There isn't one correct setting in the bucket values. It really depends on your process. Let's say you have daily bucket of 7 days, and weekly bucket of 5 weeks, and monthly of 10 month. What's going to happen is that for the first 7 days, the system will aggregate the demand daily, and produce one suggestion for each day of the aggregated demand. After the first 7 days, the system will no long aggregate the demand by day. Instead, it would aggregate the demand by week, and only give one suggestion per week for the NEXT 5 weeks. After that, it would do the same in the monthly manner for the next 10 month.

If you set daily bucket to 0, what's gonna happen is that the system will no longer give you suggestions by day. It will start aggregate demand in weekly manner and produce suggestions by week from Day 1.

Just note: this is only applicable to product with 'Management' = 'Available stock'. Product with 'Management' = 'By order' will anyway lead to 1 suggestion per requirement with shortage.
