When entering a field in a field or in a calculation, if I'm mid-entry the system will "refresh" (i.e. the screen will flicker) and whatever value I was editing will immediately get accepted, even if I'm mid key stroke. If I'm in a calculation, the entire calculation gets set to zero. 

This does not happen on other installations in the office. This seems to be limited to this one machine (although it is our primary estimating machine.) 

This was happening on 14.1. Did a fresh install of 17.1, still happening unfortunately. 

Anyone else with this problem? Looking for maybe a setting that dictates how often the system refreshes or something, to no avail.

The one interesting this is that I do see some Windows event errors:

The beta feature EseDiskFlushConsistency is enabled in ESENT due to the beta site mode settings 0x800000.

That seem to correspond with the refresh, but I dont know if that's always there or not (might be a red herring).
