In the Setup in 3-7 for the progress billing, make sure they have a Primary Rate for Retention.

Yes, Greig the primary rate is entered, and the total retention amount is displayed both in the grid and at the bottom of the record.  The standard system report form uses the total retention field (it is not a calculated field).  So it should be displayed correctly on the first page of the report form for total retention.  It worked before, this is a new customer and we have not made any changes to the report or the form yet.  So I think it is a problem with one of the updates, and perhaps has just not been reported yet.

We just checked and the retention portion will not display on the closed record, but when we previewed the invoice form on the current PB record that is in an open status, the retention portion is now included on the report form.  Please report this to programming.

I have encountered this issue before. When I contacted Sage Support, they stated the progress billing record was corrupted. The fix was to void the record and recreate. They were not able to tell me how it was corrupted or why, but recreating fixed the problem.
