Sage 100 does not have a backup feature so you must be using a third party product which you have not mentioned.  No one can assist until we know what you are using.

Part of your problem is that you have posted in the wrong section. Sage 100 and Sage 100 Contractor are totally different programs. Sage 100 is the old MAS90 and Sage 100 Contractor is I believe the old Timberline. You need to repost in the section for Real Estate and Construction form I believe it is. 

Well I would but this Sage City is not that easy to understand.

I started with Sage 100 Construction and Real Esate and when you click "New" is gives you options to Open a Discussion under....there is a Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate and a Sage 100 General Discussion...no option for Sage 100 Construction and Real Estate ???
