I am trying to set up a new user and I keep getting an error saying I need to be the administrator although I am the administrator.

If you're setting the new user up at Menu 7-2-2 (Utilities/Company Security/User List), when you open the company, did you check the box that says "Open company with Administrator rights" ?

This can happen if you are logged into Windows with a Microsoft (email) account instead of a local account. There are 2 things you can try:
- If logging into Sage with a Windows Authentication account, switch to a SQL Authentication account
- Switch to a local account instead of a Microsoft account when logging into Windows on your machine
