Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Software Notice 17-F was sent on 11/2/2017.

What's new in version 17.1
  • New in Rev 5 - Ability to easily switch Crystal Reports to use the SQL database (instead of the Pervasive database) by selecting the Use SQL check box when generating the reports in the application and Desktop. See the Using SQL data for reporting video.
  • New in Rev 5 - New License Administration — a tool that enables you to track and assign licenses for Mobile Projects and other Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate applications.
  • The new Sage SQL Replicator — a tool that takes the Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate data stored in the Actian Pervasive database and continuously replicates it into a Microsoft SQL database, providing improved reporting performance. See An Introduction to Sage SQL Replicator (video) for more information.
  • The new System Administrator — a tool designed to help you easily manage replication of your Sage SQL database and perform database-related tasks like backing up both Pervasive and SQL databases together. See System Administrator: Back Up and Restore (video) for more information.
  • Important core system updates including Sage Exchange Desktop 2.0, .NET update (4.6.2), and Crystal Runtime (13.0.19).
Note: You no longer enter activation codes when you install version 17.1. Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate automatically accesses the licenses for the various applications for which your company is entitled. Before you install, we recommend that you review the number of uses your company has purchased for each application by logging onto the Sage Customer Portal; see Knowledgebase article 87017 for more information.
For more information about 17.1, see the Accounting Release Notes.
