Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate: Announcing 2017 year-end updates

Year-end updates for Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate versions 16.1 and 17.1 are available. If you use Accounts Payable or Payroll, we recommend that you study the Release Notes to determine whether to install a year-end update before generating your tax forms.

Payroll taxes for 2018 will be available in a separate download before the start of 2018. If you own Payroll, you will receive another notice when the download is available.

Important! If you use third-party products that integrate with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, check with your software vendor prior to upgrading to ensure their product is fully compatible with this release. Sage does not recommend or support rolling Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate back to a previous version.

Supported versions

For this year end, both the 16.1 and 17.1 versions of Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate are supported. If you are on version 15.1 or earlier, you must either:

  • Install 16.1 Rev 8 (which contains the year-end update)
  • Install 17.1 Rev 6 (which contains the year-end update)

What’s new in the year-end updates
  • You can now designate which vendors in Accounts Payable will receive electronic 1099 forms (instead of printed forms).
  • The New Jersey NJ-927/WR-30 report now shows the Total FLI contributions.
  • The Pennsylvania certified payroll report now shows the hourly fringe benefit amount.
  • Certified reports generated using Aatrix now exclude Daily Distributions associated with time entries that are not marked certified.
  • When clicking [Use Daily Distributions] in the Affordable Care Act Compliance window, the correct hours now show for all months.

Important! Remember to back up your data and program files before installing the year-end update.
