Sage is happy to announce a new SQL Estimating online class titled ESSQ – Sage Estimating (SQ) – Estimate Fundamentals (SQL) now available for registration on Sage University!

Next class date is April 2nd-6th!

This instructor led, virtual course leads you through the major features of Sage Estimating Core (SQL version)—including quantity takeoff, totals and addons, the spreadsheet, and pricing. Explore the use of the Location column and alternates to expand your sorting and reporting options. Review the many ways to calculate quantities during takeoff. Learn to add profit and markup, sales tax, and other fees to your estimates, and practice adjusting prices.

If you’re new to Sage estimating, this is a great class to establish a strong foundation. If you have a team of estimators with varying levels of expertise or familiarity with Sage estimating, this is an opportunity to level set your team.

This is a progressive course, which means participants must register for all 5 sessions in the series. We have identified primary content for each of the 5 sessions but will flex our agenda as needed to accommodate logical breaking points in the content and student questions. Plan on each session requiring ~2.5 to 3 hours to allow time for questions and flexible content coverage.

We will spend some class time working on practice activities; students must have Sage Estimating SQL version 17.12 or higher installed prior to the first session. This course is $490       (1 registered student) for ~15 hours of training, and includes the following sessions:

• The Estimating Management Console and Quantity Takeoff Basics
• More Quantity Takeoff, Totals, and Reports
• The Estimate Spreadsheet, Alternates, and Substitutions
• Pricing, Adjustments, and Report Options
• The Bid Grid and Merging Estimates
