Payroll 2018 Question --- NEED HELP

SUGGESTED

Help!!! We just received a report from our third party insurance company showing a STD check was issued to one of our employees in December 2018. We have already closed out our 2018 Payroll. Is there anyway, other than having to restore prior backup, that we can enter this transaction into our current system?

If we have to restore from a prior backup, is there any way that I can export a majority of what I have entered in for 2019 to import back in once this STD PR transaction is entered? I am dreading the thought of all having to manually re-enter all the work we have done in the last 5 days, just for one lousy STD PR transaction.

PLEASE HELP!!

Any response is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

There is no opton in BusinessWorks to post a payroll check for a past year.  If you want the check to show in your payroll for 2018 you would need to restore a backup prior to closing payroll in December.  Otherwise, you can leave as is and just enter the transaction as a bank transaction to reflect in BusinessWorks. Then you would have to manually edit the existing tax reports to reflect the numbers you need them to reflect.  As far as importing information into BusinessWorks - refer to article Import file formats (73278) .    This gives you the options of what we allow you to import and what the import formats are.

    Thanks,
