Business Works 2017 (latest SP)...

FYI   BW is integrated with CCC1 (Body Shop Management Software)...that process works properly all the time...no issues

DB hosted on 2102 R2 server...NIC Teaming, 32GB, Dual Processor, RAID 10 volume (10K RPM SAS)...plenty of available space.

2 active clients...WS running Win7 Pro 64...i5, 8gb 500gb HD...Malwarebytes and Security Essentials on both clients, Windows firewall disabled...

Linksys 24 port GB Switch

Occasional (significant) lag and delayed population of data or processing of actions when performing specific functions

For Example:

Trying to apply open credits to a file

Doing a deposit batch

Trying to look up customer to see what he owes

Trying to pull up an account in GL to see if balance is correct

Trying to do a report on G/L distribution

Voiding out a bank transaction

Entering a bank transaction

Troubleshooting performance can be difficult especially if it is intermittent. There is no setting within BusinessWorks for performance.  Generally, you need to start looking at things in your environment.  Does this happy with all workstation or just one?  If there is a difference , start comparing the difference between the two machines. If you perform the same tasks directly on the server, do you have the same results?  If the performance issues are not occurring on the server, then you are looking at the setting for the individual workstation or the network connection.  Also, did this just start happening?  If yes, what changed?

In our KnowledgeBase at support.na.sage.com, I would also start with article: How to troubleshoot slow performance (17621)

If you still have questions after going through the article, then I would open a case by calling 800-447-5700 to work with a support analyst.

    Thanks,
