I see that Sage Intelligence bundled with 2018 is still the same version as 2016 and 2017. Will there be a newer/better version available at some point? Some of our clients are suffering from performance issues even with RDA...
To those of you inquiring about the release date for 2018 SDK...we are researching entitlement are targeted to post by end of this month. We apologize for the delay.
One change I do like - the header shading for BIE has finally been changed. Now I can read the headings. This will make some people happy!
My bad. Should have read the above. The Release Notes that came with the product somehow failed to mention this new feature...
sorry - hit the "send" key...
We've added Mobile Phone number to most entities: customers, vendors, buyers, sales persons, warehouses...You can verify addresses via USPS validation in Maintain Recurring Vouchers and Invoices and Enter Vouchers/InvoicesSMTP encrytion support (SSL) has been added and support for requiring credentials. The credentials are stored, so they don't have to be re-entered.A few 1099 changes were added to support features existing in Aatrix, including the ability specify a 1099 specific address, name and to indicate if the vendorconsents to receiving 1099s via email. Tax payer ID is also masked in most places. As new versions of Microsoft Office are delivered, v2018 and beyond should support them without the need for a product update.Registration now supports Clusters and High-Availability servers, with SQL 2017 support added too.We also added a check during startup and install to make any changes necessary to support side-by-side running of Sage 500 with other Sage products using a different version of Crystal Reports.Something not as interesting perhaps, we removed dependency on no-longer-supported SQL DMO.
The announcement above mentions the AP credit card reconciliation.Having said that, Auto Bank feed should not be on the list.
I would like to see this as well. From what I can tell so far, there doesn't seem to be any functionality enhancement at all over the 2017 version. Earlier this year, Linda Cade presented a new feature in AP to reconcile credit card charges. Did it and/or other new features make it to the final release?
It's been a month now and SDK is still unavailable. Several of our clients are waiting on that to upgrade. Can you provide an ETA at this time? Thanks
Hi, Zenon! Just checking back. It has been about 30 days since the release of this version. Do you have any more information on the release date of the SDK? I apologize if there was an announcement published elsewhere in this forum. Thanks, in advance!
Nadine, certifications are reserved for authorized resellers only. However if you are working for the end user you can get training on Sage University.
Zenon, I would like some information on how to become Sage 2018 certified. I was certified in the past (much older versions)
Compatibility Guides for all versions including 2018 are available under KB 34158.
Hi Zenon, Where can we find the Compatibility Guide for this new version? There's no link posted on the Compatibility Guide downloads page yet and nothing I can find just searching KB. Has it been released for the new version yet?
Is there a white paper or PPT that highlights the enhancement for 2018? I've seen the email and the release notes, but interested in seeing if something else is available?
Great news! Thanks Zenon.
