bank reconciliation

Hi ... I was doing a bank reconciliation and when I went to reconcile (click on) one of the bank deposits - it gave me an error message and then automatically created a deposit amount in the bottom screen. I clicked to un-reconciled all the deposits to get it back to zero but the amount is still there even though I didn't reconcile any deposits. I'm thinking that maybe the AR clerk's posting had a error - maybe posted to bank. Anyone experience this? Just wondering if there is a solution.

Check the Totals tab to see if that deposit amount is showing as Cleared. If so, it may have been reversed. Check bank history inquiry.

Thanks Jim! I'll check it out in the am - I do believe it is still showing on the Totals tab but I'll check bank history inquiry - it just seems so strange that it shows as cleared but there isn't an entry in the reconciled section. I'm thinking there is something going on behind the scenes..much appreciate you taking the time to respond

Good news.. I did see the Cleared Amount next to the deposit. It only cleared part of the Deposit but I was able to at least zero out the cleared amount and start again. This was the error message.

Description: current line:15 should not be greater than total lines:14.
