Remove references to the old server in the PATH and Customization Directories.

Hi Jay....we dont have customization directories but do you mean references to old server from PC machines? When we install Sage client in each machine we uninstall first old version, delete registry Accpac entry and delete path to old server. Even IT move those machines to new domain first. So I want to be sure what you mean? Thank you

Trust but verify.  Somebody missed something, new servers should not be slower.

I check and Sage is slow even to login....once in a screen runs well but for example when enter a PO Receipt (without IC).....finder to look for OC takes 15-20 secs.....and when you post also other 15-20 secs!!! They have Antivirus..I ask IT to desactivate antivirus a couple hours tomorrow to check!!!!

Sage just put out a hotfix for 2018 performance issues last week. KB 89045

I did finally testing myself. Running Sage directly from Server runs very well....open screen quicky, finder, reports, etc...Not a problem. Performance is slow from PC clients, even with Login......and every screen.....finder runs quiclky but once you select and puts info at screen it runs slow, for example, populate PO Receipt screen with OC....reports run well.....DEP from client take 10 mins !!! From server just seconds.....so I think Hotfix will help but as they use Norming AM and Orchid's Process Scheduler I first need to check with them that not a problem witha that fix and its add-ons.

Hi Oscar managed to get it faster, I have 3 customer complains on this also. I've tried the hotfix on 1 customer and seems it evens make it slower

Without hot fix was a nightmare....for example Day End Processing takes 8-9 minutes.....with hotfix is much faster but yes, users tell us is slower than its previous version....mainly when opening screens once there runs well !!!

I had exactly this when I was given new VM servers to install on.

The IT people had given me a 1 core processor instead of an 8 core.  This just stopped the server from working properly - it was as if it was frozen for a while.

They then increased it for me and everything went back to normal.

This may not be the cause, but no harm in checking.
