Time Track - General information.

I have watched the training session for Time Track but still can't tell if it will do exactly what we need it to do.  We are currently using Lotus Symphony to track time cards by job #.  The time cards are entered by hand and we can then pull our costs of all employees by job # and add in mileage and overhead, etc.  We do not currently use the Job Cost module and we do not currently have the Payroll Module.  I wish that we could do a "trial" of the Time Track to see if it's what we want before purchasing the Payroll Module, but since that does not seem to be an option, I am reaching out to people that are already using it for more information.

  • You used to be able to install modules you do not own and have a 30 day trial.  I'm not sure if that changed after payroll went subscription.

  • You can set up a one on one with your rep to go through all the details.  I do not have it right now.  We are doing a one on one this week with our rep.

I looked into that and they said that our Business Partner could set up a demo, but our Business Partner is in Oklahoma and we are in Missouri, we have never used a Business Partner, honestly didn't even know we had one, trying to figure out how to get in touch with one closer to us.

I would want one closer too.  We have Job Ops not Job Cost.  I am seeing if time tracker will integrate.

Sage can help you find a new business partner... and 90Minds.com is a good place to look as well.

  • If you are on Sage 100cloud (subscription), you have a 30-day cancellation policy and Sage says they will issue a pro-rata refund of money paid should you decide not to continue.

For companies who never use consultants the best I can offer is you set up a test on a separate server and run a bunch of scenarios to test this for yourself.

It sounds like you want to do something similar to what one of my recent upgrades does. They pull in labor costs on a monthly basis. Then they run reports from TimeTrack (caution - the reports in Time Track are not exactly the same as Timecard).

Another caution, you'll need to have a payroll subscription in order to use Time Track.
