How to refresh Custom Report in SAGE?

Hello,

I have created a one crystal report, which has couple sub reports.  Now I set then up in the SAGE under the custom report. Now I made some modification to the subreport and then re-import it. So if I open the master report in crystal report I can see the modification but if I open the same master report in SAGE, do not see the modification. So what should I do in SAGE to refresh the report with my modification?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Your sub-report probably uses a different data source, which might be updated using the file conversion.

In CR click File - Summary Info and remove the highlighted text.  Save, then run from Sage again.

Thank you for your quick reply. I looked at this option in my master report and sub-report but those values are blank in both.So what is still missing in SAGE to refresh it?

    Thanks again..

If your main report works, update the data source of the sub-report to match exactly.  (Database - Set Datasource Location).

After doing a Database - Verify Database, you should have only one active data connection (which you can verify in Database - Log On or Off Server... look for the plug icon).

    Hello,

Thanks for reply. Per instruction I checked the "Set Datasource Location" and both reports (Master & Sub-Report) have same datasource location. Also make sure that "Log On or Off Server." is showing same data connection.

The main(Master) report shows the modification if I open it in Crystal Report. But in SAGE it does not.  So do I need to delete it and reset up?

    Thank you.

I am out of easy answers.  Keep trying different things until something works.

Most often this happens to me when I click to use Windows authentication instead of SQL, which should be fine in your master report, if that works.

Thanks for you reply. I think i figured it out. so I created my master report by adding sub-reports in  my local drive. Then copy entire folder to the network drive (MAS90/Reports ). Then setup a report in the sage. so  it seems the link (from my local drive) was carried over because I was keep on modifying the reports in the network drive, when I did not see the modification on SAGE report I started questing and start troubleshooting. Then I thought let me change the report in the local drive and ran in SAGE, I was able to see my changes.

So for the custom report, it has to be in "MAS90/Reports " directory?  or I can have one more directory under "MAS90/Reports " and set it up from this directory?

    Thanks again.
