What kind of account are you trying to override?  Some things are possible, while others are not.

You can update the Sales GL or COGS GL on the line with a script during data entry.  Also, if it is based on the Product Line, can't you just set up the Product Line GL correctly in IM>Setup>Product Line Maintenance?

The AR Control account is automatic, depending on division settings and cannot be overridden.  If an invoice is partially one PL and partially another, how would things be split?  Discounts?  Taxes?  Freight?  It is logically and technically not possible.

While I agree with your statement, and the best practice being that you should setup divisions to control the balance sheet accounts, how about changing the Freight Account, based on a UDF Value, during the SO Sales Journal Update?

By script?  Not possible.

Custom programming by a Master Developer?  Probably possible, but seems like overkill.

/M or /FREIGHT as a misc charge line would easily allow freight amounts to post to a custom account.
