Sage 100 2018 Payroll

We have identified an issue with Sage 100 2018 payroll for customers who are migrating impacting their Workman's Comp and states that have no personal income tax. We are going to release an update, 2.17.1, of payroll around November 3, 2017 for this issue. We ask that until this has been released you do not migrate your payroll data from a prior version of Sage 100 to the new version. These issues do not impact New Sage 100 customers.

  • I am new to Sage and new to this user forum.  Is this a place where I can ask questions about payroll?  I have found most of Sage 100 quite easy to set up and the training videos make things very easy.  However, when I try to set up payroll I keep getting the message that I do not have the security rights to modify the record.  I have turned on ODBC and the other security tab and have given myself rights to every module as owner.  Do you have any ideas as to what I am missing?

    There are 2 things that I am aware of that can cause this message.   The first is not having the new features of 2018 selected in Role Maintenance for that user.   The second is having an expired Sage 100 subscription which puts Sage 100 in read only access mode.  If those do not address your message, please contact Sage 100cloud support.
