Error 200 when trying to print or preview from TS

Client's IT did own upgrade MAS90 4.30 to 4.40.  The user uses TS to access MAS90.  When she tries to print or preview anything, she immediately gets an Error 200 SY_ReportCommon.pvc Line 594.  Last File is Sy_Personalize.m4t.  IT connected to TS as Administrator and I was able to browse to the directory and create a text file in the Keys folder, so it's not permissions.  They have no security on their MAS90.

I connected to the server and this doesn't happen at the server - items print and preview successfully.

I tried registering the ATL.DLL per a resolution that was close in Line values.  With Sage we registered the mascr.dll in Common Components and I believe we also registered the crt.dll in Windows\System 32.  Non of this helps.  Sage set me up for a call back later today.  The client and I also uninstalled workstation setup, rebooted and reinstalled.

Does anyone have any ideas that they have tried or come across?

Thanks

Nancy

  • Installing the MAS client on a TS install requires a special installation from the control panel, NOT installing directly from the wksetup folder!  It also requires a special install mode that has to be activated from a command line prompt.  And for good measure, you should be logged onto the TS machine as Administrator AND the local users have to have security access to the Sage folder on the TS local drive.

    Were these steps followed?

  • On the terminal server machine, from a dos prompt:

    enter this before installing software:

    CHANGE USER /INSTALL

    Enter this after completion:

    CHANGE USER /EXECUTE

  • Thanks for both replies.

Yes the IT did do the commands to put the TS into install mode.

I did browse out through the TS to the directory and was able to create the text file in the keys folder and I checked permissions and they were ok.  We were signed into the TS as the administrator.

    Other ideas?

    Thanks

  • Update:

Sage gave me some registry entries to check and I passed them along to IT.  IT indicated today that the workstation setup took longer than previous and the print/preview seems to be working.

    Thanks
