Maintenance alert: Sage City will be going global…upgrade to start on June 1

We have some exciting news to share…Sage City will be going global!  To accommodate this expansion, Sage City will be completely unavailable starting on Friday, June 1 at 3pm ET and will not be available again until Sunday, June 3 at 8pm ET (a maintenance page will be displayed during this time).  As of Monday, June 4, Sage City will be available in 16 additional countries, with the creation of 80 new product groups and 175 new forums across the entire community.

For existing users in the US and Canada, the biggest change will be to the site navigation.  Instead of clicking on Support at the top of the Sage City homepage and choosing your product, you will now click or hover over Support Groups, and choose your country first.  Once on the country homepage, you will choose your Sage software from one of two groups: Sage Business Cloud or Local products.  All existing product Support Groups have been moved to be under the US or Canada country group, as applicable.  Once you have chosen your product from the list, you will be taken to its support group homepage, which will have all of the same tabs and group navigation you are used to today, including forums, blogs, ideas, resources, and members.  All existing links and saved bookmarks will automatically forward to their new location in the community.

As a result of this switch to country level navigation, some of our other groups on Sage City will also be moving locations or will be discontinued, as noted below.

  • The Business Group will be discontinued as of May 31.  We want to thank everyone in the Sage City Community who has participated in the Business Group over the last 5 years.
  • The private Partners Group, which is currently focussed on North American Partners, will move to under the US country group (it will also be accessible from the Canada country group).  If you are currently a partner, you will be able to click on the Partners link on the country group homepage and will be taken to the Partners Group.   If you are not currently a member of the Partners Group, you can request access to this group by filling in the required information.
  • The Students Group, which is currently focussed on students using educational versions of select Sage software in North America, will move to under the US country group (it will also be accessible from the Canada country group), and will be listed as a link on the country group homepage.
  • All existing specialty groups in the US and Canada, such as Controlled Releases, Betas, Year-end Centers (YEC), etc. are now listed in the group navigation of each applicable product and will no longer be listed in the hover navigation of the site (you will only see the links for certain private Controlled Release or Beta Groups if you are a member).

There will also be some font and slight style changes to various pages throughout the community and to the email digests and subscriptions, as well as new carousel banners and site icons, that all reflect the latest Sage branding.

While Sage City is not available, you may want to try searching for an answer to your question in our Support Knowledgebase, located at the following link: https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/microsites/microsite.do

We do want to apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by this planned maintenance and global upgrade.  If you encounter any issues after the community is back online or have any feedback or concerns you would like to share, please be sure to send an email to sagecitymayor@sage.com, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

The Sage City team wants to sincerely thank our over 80,000 active members (and growing) for continuing to participate in the community by sharing valuable insights and advice every day.  We’re looking forward to offering the Sage City community to more countries and customers on a global stage starting on Monday, June 4!
