I needed to create a new account because year end dates were incorrect!! So I exported my COA and the import worked however it
didn't import ALL of my chart of accounts. I had added a GST account and its not been added. What might be doing on?

Did you go to the Old file use menu bar File, Import/Export, Export Record, Export records to a Sage 50 Import file format, then pick Accounts and assign a unique name and location for the export file, click next select all Account type, and check included inactive accounts then click Select All and then Next to finish export
After export go to new file, click File, import/Export, Import Record, Sage 50 import format, Backup, Next, browse to the export file to import.
if you follow these step it should all imported
if you still have issue,
1. check is old and new file are in the same version of Sage
2. open the export file, see those account that you missed is in the exported txt file
if you do see them in the export file, then try import again, check import log for error message
if you do not see those accounts in the export file, then try export again
