Thanks for reaching out! The Sage 50 product line is being called Sage 50cloud, however, it's core modules (AR, AP, Inventory, Projects, etc) that are desktop only remain available as before. For more details about the Sage 50 2019.0 release you can review the "what's new" PDF document that includes details on other resolved issues. You don't have to use the cloud & mobile features, most subscriptions include them though.

When you go from a 2018 (or older) to the new 2019 version of Sage 50CA and you open your company data file, that file will be converted to the new 2019 format. We advise creating a backup of your data and to convert a copy to the new format. See below for instructions.

An older version of the software can always be opened if it remains installed on your machine, data needs to match the version format (the software will let you know if it's formatted for an older or newer version). So a tip would be to label your files and folders well so you know what version / format they're for, stay organized*
