Hi Folks:

I ran the "Look For Errors" only data verification and it found 6 errors. I then attempted the repair option and in the middle of the process

I received:

Address Violation Error

System Error Code 2

Exception C Module at Timeslip.Exe at 00040927

The test stopped and the program runs normally from there (perhaps).

Timeslips 2008

  • If the Timeslips database is not on the same computer that you ran data verification from then you first want to make a copy of the database and bring to the local computer.

    Now do the following steps:

    1. Clear all temp files. The easiest way to do this is from start - programs - accessories - system tools - disk cleanup.

    2. Use the Search function to Search for the following files on your machine. If any are found, remove them

       - pdoxusrs.net

       - pdoxusrs.lck

       - paradox.lck

       - fulses*.*

    3. Make a copy of the Timeslips database folder for safety

    4. Go to control panel - BDE Administrator.  Click on configuration tab then expand out to go to system - init. Make sure maxfilehandles is set to at least 200. If necessary change and click on thex to exit and save changes.

    5. Reboot the computer

    6. Open Timeslips and run the data verification on the local copy of the database.

If you still have errors, feel free to post the specifics here, call me at 203-254-7736 or contact one of the other consultants that frequents this board.
