Order of Time Slip Entries

SUGGESTED

I'm trying to have my time slips display in a certain order.  I have a specific hierarchy that I list my timekeepers in.  Supervising attorney/partner first followed by junior associate and so on (in the event several individuals have time spent working on the same project on the same date).  Their rates vary.  Typically the supervising attorney is higher and the associate is lower.  Currently it appears that the time slips are being sorted from lowest billing rate time keeper to highest, and I basically need to reverse that order.  Does anyone know where go to change this setting?  I've searched everywhere.  TIA!

Are you talking about on the bills? Look at your sort order on the bills. I suspect you have something like timekeeper title or a custom field. If that is the case, you can change the sort order associated with that sort. If that is not the case then you will want to setup and assign timekeeper titles to each timekeeper based on the category. So partners would be the first level, junior associate second, etc. Then add this as a sort level and make sure it is above slip date in the sort list.

If they are sorting by the Timekeeper, but in reverse order, I suspect that your sort setting is set to Ascending and not Descending. Right before you are ready to click print, click on the Sort and Subtotal tab and check to see how your sort is being told to behave. You should just need to change the middle value for the Order from Ascending to Descending or vice versa.

Try that first. Has it been working in the past and recently changed? Or are you trying to get this to work for the first time?
