Issues Importing Remote Exchange

When a user imports a remote database using the Remote Exchange in Timeslips 2011, the file appears to be imported correctly but there are no records imported.  The user exporting her database selects the email database option.  This issue is unique to one user in the organization.  Other users have no issues with their exported databases being imported.

What settings should I look at to ensure the configuration is correct?

Also, in Timeslips, when a user is creating a new slip, she wishes that the date field is pre-populated with the date entered on the previous slip.  What setting needs to be changed for this to work?

In the case of the TSRemote, are you importing an SLP file or exchanging and XFR file? Two different processes. If importing an SLP file, what does the TSImport Journal say about the import of the remote slips?

As to the data prepopulating with the previous slip data, check under Setup, Preferences Slip and check off which fields you would like the program to copy from one slip to another.

Thank you for your response Nancy.

With regards to TSRemote, I we are exchanging an XFR file. The user exporting simply selects the option to email the database. The user importing selects File-> Remote -> Exchange with Remote. Both users are running 64-bit versions of Windows 7 Professional. It is only occurring for one particular user. All other remote exchanges work without issue.

I set the preferences for the slip data and that worked Thank you.

Yet you get no error after the Exchange correct? Are we sure that the user is sending a different file every time or that the receiver is exchanging with a different file every time?

I would note the last slip number prior to the exchange, run the exchange and then look to see if there are any newly numbered slips.

Yes, there is no error. I have confirmed that the user is sending a different file and the receiver is importing the newly sent file. The process runs through as expected, but the results shows 0 completed.

Hmm, I don't know that I can offer up much more via this bulletin board. That's probably a situation that will require a remote access session.

Worse case, I would export an SLP file from the remote and use TSImport to get the slips in and then send the remote a new empty slip file to use for the next cycle.
