Database verification "look for errors"

I had posted earlier today about a problem with opening up separate files in Timeslips 2012 - one for husband and one for wife with both having the same hourly timekeeper rate of $137.50.  I was unable to reply to the comment from the Timeslips rep (Hi Caren) for some reason, so I will briefly repeat what has happened.  As I had mentioned in my other question, the wife's file in Timeslips had the correct rate of $137.50 when I ran a practice bill, but the husband's rate, which should have been the same, was $275. (twice as much.)

In response to Caren's suggestions, I checked that I entered the rates exactly and the timekeeper exactly on both files, and the same "level", yet the husband's rate is $275.  I am stumped. This bill must go out and I don't know what to do.  I did not type $275 for the husband's rate-I typed $137.50.

My question here is, would the above be a situation where I should  run a "Database verification look for errors"?  I have never done that before and don't know what to expect. I only know about it from reading other posts on this forum.

What does Database verification look for errors do? Will I lose any info by doing this? And where do I go on Timeslips to perform this function.

Thank you
