How to create a report listing the total amount received in a year

I'm sure this is really simple, but I simply cannot locate how to create a report that just lists the total amount of income for 2014.  I don't need a breakdown by client.  Help! [:)]

    Reports, A/R Transactions, Payment Register. Double-click to open up the details.

    Filter for A/R Transaction Date range of last year.

    Under the Options button in the lower left, check the box for Only show subtotals and grand totals.

    That should give you the total for all the Payment transactions.
