Sage Timeslips 2015 One PC Cannot See Any Lists.

We have 3 pcs in our office set up peer to peer.  2 of the 3 work fine, except for being slow.   These are all new computers running Windows 8.1.  The third computer cannot access any of the lists.  You click on the list and there is a quick Automatic Procedure message in the top right hand corner.  Then nothing.  Timeslips will also then freeze and I have to use station admin to get him out.   I have made the window smaller to make sure nothing is popping up off screen.  There is no long navigation bar.  I searched his computer for the timeslip.ini file and it is not on there.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Timeslips and that does nothing to help it.  I am at a loss of what more to try.

Open Timeslips, but don't try to open any other windows.  Immediately go to Setup, Preferences, under Interface - Appearance, click the box to "Restore all dialog settings to their defaults."

I would then exit and reopen just to make sure and then try the list again.

I feel things are a bit worse than that. Any button across the top does not work when you click on it.  Now there is an access violation error when you start up Timeslips.   Seems nothing works.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled.

Did you try what was suggested? You can also tey deleting the prefs.prf file on the workstation. This is not replaced by a reinstall. You might also clear all temp files on the workstation

Thank you Nancy and Caren.  I was able to delete the prefs file.  I still get the address violation error.   I cannot locate any temp files to delete.  I will work on that later today when the pc is available.

if you haven't tried this yet, from your button, type in %temp%   that should take you to the default location for temp files.   Most can be deleted, although some may not let you if they are connected to an open application

    I appreciate everyone's help.

I have deleted the temp files but still get the address violation error.

Is TeamViewer installed on this machine perhaps?  It will manifest errors like this with the QuickConnect conflict.

If it is, refer to Knowledgebase article 30978 'TeamViewer conflict' for resolution.
