I am assuming you have the ledes addin. You have to turn on the ledes option on the client.  Beyond that it is hard to give advice on this in this forum in less you can narrow down the error and specify an error. I would suggest you work with a consultant. We can quickly help you get this set up accurately.

sorry I don't know what a ledes addin is.  nothing in timeslips tells me I have to purchase anything additional to make this work.

In order to create ledes bills you need an electronic billing add on. You can tell if you gave it when you go to bills. Is there a listing for ledes? If not you can look in features enabled and see if it there. Otherwise you will have to purchase and you might then want help in setting it up.     Please purchase the Ledes 1198B add-on through our sales department. Their number is 1-800-285-0999. Once you purchase the add-on, inside of Timeslips go to help, purchase add-on and enter the configuration code to add to Timeslips. After you add it you will see this feature under billing.
