Ledes1998B delivery format - RESOLVED

SOLVED

My computer crashed last week and when I reloaded Timeslips 2011 and then entered my code for my upgrade to 2014, my Ledes1998B delivery format is no longer an option as a way to send bills to clients.  How do I get this back? someone please help me! I was able to grab an old database from 2012 to use but when I copied over the data there still was no option for Ledes.

thanks for any help or advice.

***UPDATE WITH MORE INFORMATION ON MY ISSUE***

I have a Sage Timeslips 2011 CD that says "use this CD to install Sage Timeslips 2011 trial and full product versions and add-on products for Sage Timeslips 2011 and Timeslips by Sage 2010 and 2009."

When I called TS to find out what I need to do to get TS back on my new computer (as my old computer was not safe to use as it has ransomware on it) they told me that I would need to first install TS 2011 on my new computer with the codes for that version and after doing so I could then use the link they gave me to re-install the 2014 upgrade.

When installing 2011, I clicked on install TS 2011...this morning I put the CD back in and noticed that there is an option to "install add-on." When I clicked on this the CD was going through the prompts but then said I had already installed a later version. I cancelled the install because I don't know if I will be able to use the code again to do my upgrade.

**RESOLUTION**

Needed code to activate LEDES add-on.  Thank you, Roger.

When did you purchase the LEDES add on?  It is a separate install from the main program.  Sounds like you reinstalled the main program, but not the add on.  After the add on was installed it would have prompted you to record/save/print a reinstall code which is the cumulative effect of all your upgrades, additional licenses and add ons.  That is code you want to use to reinstall, not the original purchase code.

Purely guessing here (since you don't really give any details of this).  Here's what I think happened.

You purchased Timeslips 2011 and installed that with a code (which is the same code you used to reinstall it after the crash, but before your upgrade to 2014).

THEN you bought/installed the Electronic Billing addon bundle that enables LEDES.  You did not collect/record a reinstall code after adding this on.

Your computer "crashed."  Not sure if you fixed it, or bought a new one, but for some reason you felt you needed to reinstall Timeslips 2011.  Which you did, but not the addon.

Then you upgraded that to 2014.  Upgrades look at what you have installed and bring that forward.  Since the post crash reinstall did not have the addon, the 2014upgrade could not carry it forward.

So, now you have a 2014 with no LEDES.

Do you have the original documentation re: the addon purchase?  You could try and reinstall the bundle onto the 2014 - you will need the Electronic Bundle install codes provided with that purchase, or contact support to have them help you get the addon put back on.  They will need to be able to confirm your purchase.

    Hope this helps.

As you have figured out, Ledes is an add-on and the codes you used to reinstall 2011 did not install that for you so when you upgraded to 2014 you don't have it there either.  Your best approach would be to document your Ledes purchase and contact Sage Customer service to get a code to reinstall Ledes to your 2014 system.  Be careful with your database too!
