Help!

1) When inputting a timeslip using an A & L code (ledes) you can see the description of the codes. When I go to print a Pre-Bill for the selected account, you also can see the description of the A & L code but when I go to generate the bill the description disappears and all you see for example is A104 and L140 without the description. Is there a way to have it print out with the description of the codes?

2) When I am going into an account from the Billing Assistant I have to manually select the slips instead of them being pre-selected already. Is there a way to have them pre-selected?

    1. You need to modify your bill layout to include the activity description and the reference description.

    2. This is usually a filter. The easiest way to clear the filters is to go to setup - preferences - appearance - restore all dialog settings.

    1) Okay, well just so you know, how it prints out has nothing to do with what the underlying electronic file is going to contain, but yes, we probably can adjust it to not show the description of the code.  We would need to edit your bill layout and replace the field with another one that does not have the description (usually Nickname 2).

    2) Sounds like you have a filter in place there that needs to be cleared out.  Go to the Billing Assistant filter and clear any filters that you see.

    Hope this helps.

Telling you how to change the bill layout is somewhat complex. Showing you is fairly easy. Most of the consultants, like myself, can provide help in doing this through a remote session.
