Slip work description won't stay on line one

I just reinstalled my Timeslips program on my new Windows 7 computer. Now every time I enter a work description on a time slip and save it, the entry moves down to the line below where I entered it.  No amount of reentering or moving it back will fix it. It also shows up with this empty first line on my invoice. Any ideas?

What version of Timeslips are you using?

    Thanks.

I am having the same issue with the added line in the slip description. I use Timeslips 2006. Do I need to upgrade Timeslips or is there another option to correct this issue? Thank you.

Timeslips v2006 is way before Windows 7. I would suggest upgrading to the newest version of Timeslips which is supported on Windows 7. I haven't seen that issue with Timeslips v2014 and Windows 7.

This sounds like the incompatibility with Windows *8* and any version of Timeslips other than 2014.

Otherwise, I would be looking at the default descriptions for the particular task and make sure it doesn't have an embedded linefeed in it.  Editing the description and saving the slip should change it and it should stay - unless it's Windows 8, or unless you haven't installed the latest service release for the version of Timeslips you are running.

I have the exact same problem!  We just upgraded to new computers.  We went from Windows XP to Windows 7.  I use Timeslips 2011. Every timeslip I have entered since we upgraded has blank lines before and after the description I type.  It seems worse when I duplicate an entry, which I often need to do.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Haven't seen the problem with Timeslips v2011 and WIndows 7. Are you using abbreviations? Do you have the service release for Timeslips v2011 installed? Can you try turning off auto spell checking if that is on.
