delete/edit ABA database???

Hey all,

I’m a new user to this software and set it up using ABA (legal) billing codes.  This has become a huge pain and I want to get rid of this setting, but can’t figure out how to do this.  So far I have one client’s info and time entered, so if I have to delete everything that’s fine.  Thanks.

  • Well, what about it is a huge pain?

All the ABA database does is give you some Task and Expense codes to start with. You are welcome to edit those if you don't need the codes.

Or, you can just create a new database to work with.  Just go to the very top, under File, New Database and choose something other than the ABA database.

    Hope this helps.

  • If you don't want to start over but want to delete the ABA codes, just go to task list and choose the icon for change open to closed. Indicate the tasks you want to get rid of and then change them. Then repeat for expenses. You can delete the reference template client or leave it, won't matter. Then go to file - purge and check tasks with a closed classification and expenses with a closed classification and click ok. This will remote all and you can setup your own taskes and expense codes.

It may be easier to create a new database, but wanted to give you the option.
