Errors: Unknown Table ID & Field not formatted correctly.

I have Timeslips 2015 and a client has switched to LEDES1998B which I have used for another client. I am getting the following error when I generate bills:

Unknown table ID. This database does not support the requested table.

Area: Table

Error Code: 1

Class: tTableExceptionC

Version: 23.0.0.177

Date: 4/26/2017

Time: 11:46:37 AM

Exception tTableExceptionC in module Timeslip.exe at 00151095.

Table:

Record: 0

Also, I ran a data verification and I have errors regarding the Field (Firm Matter ID) contains data that is incorrectly formatted.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

As a general rule, if you get an error report after running a Data Verification, then you have a problem that needs to be corrected.

Check your LEDES setup settings, see what field the Firm Matter ID is pulling from, then go check that client's information to see what the content is for that field and if you can correct it.

I would install the 2015 Service Release 3 before I pursued this any further, in case it resolves the issue. You can find it in the Knowledgebase as article 67026.

Thank you for the replies. I downloaded Release 3 and ran a Data Verification that showed no errors. Am still getting the Unknown table ID error when I try to display or print bills. I have another database that uses LEDES1998B and it is fine. I keep thinking it is something I did in trying to convert it to electronic billing. Any ideas?

Which field are you using to supply the Firm Matter ID to the LEDES file?

We have a Knowledgebase article that describes the Unknown Table ID issue, and it is almost always due to a custom field on a bill layout. I suspect that the issue is unrelated, and just coincidental that the client is on electronic billing.

Look at Article 16240 for resolution.

The Law Firm Matter ID is name of the field.

As Article 16240 instructed, I did create an Empty Database and imported My Bill Layout to the original database and created a new bill layout inserting the custom codes and references. Unknown table ID still appears.

And what content do you have in the Law Firm Matter ID field? Are you getting the error on multiple clients? or only one?

I input our case name i.e. Smith v. Jones. I have ran the Data Verification and there are no errors.
This is a small client and I do not have that many files. Can I create a new database and transfer all the slips into it. I saw where you can do an exchange, but I can manually enter everything.
