From the topmost menus, Setup, Bank Accounts, Select the account, Open, Edit and Save.

Yes, your suggestion will change the Bank Account name, and I've done that, but I need to change the Account Name (under Funds Accounts in Client Information) for all clients. I'm sure I did this in the old database, but for the life of me can't remember how.

I honestly don't fool with that at all and just leave it at Default. Then I just adjust the fields on the bill to not use the token for the account name and just type in the actual "retainer" text to force it to always say what I need it to say.

It is a good example of a little bit TOO much flexibility in Timeslips. I don't need that much flexibility. ;-)

Thank you, Nancy. I will try that, but I still wish I could figure out how I got it to default to "Retainer" under Client Info - Funds Account. We have literally hundreds of client matter numbers and I know I didn't change this manually for each one. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, I do not know of a way to change existing values in that field easily because you cannot import/export Funds settings between clients.

You can control it for NEW clients via the new client defaults, but not on existing ones.

Which is why I don't mess with that value, and just handle the effects of it elsewhere under the bill layout settings.

If I may ask, why do you feel you need to change it? How is it causing you grief?

Not grief, really, but was just hoping to retain as many settings from the old database as possible and couldn't figure out why this one wasn't transferred over. I will change the bill phrases, but just for my own knowledge can you tell me how to control it in the new client defaults? Thanks again for your help!

Well, that's a bit of a longer answer, but it involves setting up your default new client template to have what you want, so that when you create new clients, they inherit that setting from the template.
