2015 timeslips installation/configuration errors

on tuesday I upgraded by timeslips 2014 to 2015 and it worked. overnight it stopped working and got the following message "the installation file is not configured for this version of the software. the program will exit now. you must reinstall either your sage timeslips configuration or sage timeslips so the product and its configuration are matching versions." yesterday support chat remotely controlled by computer and got it to work. yesterday overnight the same thing happened with the same error message. I tried to reinstall timeslips and restart the server where the program is installed but it doesn't help.

every night timeslips is set to backup and reset the licenses. could any of those things effect the installation/configuration file
the program is installed on the server and all timeskeeper access it through a short cut on their desktop. there are a total of 4 licenses

It is the nightly "reset of the licenses" that is causing your problem.  Every night a safe copy of the version 2014 Timeslip.CFG file is being copied over the new 2015 one, and that is causing your error.

As Terry said, once you get it running, copy the v2015 Timeslip.CFG file to the safe copy location so that IT is the one that then gets copied overnight and not the old v2014 one.

    Hope this helps.

I would say that if you don't have a safe copy, that you should reinstall, but it appears from your previous posts that you have tried this, so I'm not sure what is going on at your location.

I'd need to remote in and take a look at it, which would make it a billable event for me.  If you have a technical support agreement with Sage, you might want to ring them again and refer to this thread so that they will understand what you need and get you all fixed up.

    Hope this helps.
