History Bill formatting

I'm using Timeslips 2008 version.  I need to prepare a History Bill for Court and have been working on the layout for History Bill for 3 hours now.  I have formatted the bill to reflect the date, initials of user, description and hours only.  I do not want the actual charges to show.  I've got that part formatted.  Now as far as expenses, I can't get the expenses formatted for a summary total, it's itemizing each expense, but will total at the end.  Help!  Can I format the History bill to show expenses total only?

Thanks,

Pam

Can you describe what you mean by an expense "summary total?"

As a general rule, you would control what shows in the expenses section under Section, Configure All Sections, choosing the Expense Charges from Slips and working in there to tweak it up.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you for your response.

"Summary Total" is what I would like to have showing the expenses totaled by their description

    i.e.        Postage $4.00

     Court Costs $ 250.00

       Total Costs $254.00

I’ve tried choosing options in the Section/Configure, but so far haven’t had any luck in getting what I want.

I just tested this in TS 2006 and TS 2015.  It appears that even though you can set the expense section to display summarized by name the history bill does not behave as expected having done so.  Seems like an "undocumented feature" to me!
