Installing existing version of Timeslips 2013 onto new computers

Hi,

We are getting new computers and wish to install our existing Timeslips 2013 on them.  How do we go about doing that?

Thanks,

Assuming your Timeslips is stored centrally on a server.....(if not, please provide additional information).

    1) Note the database path in the lower left corner and installation path under Help, About Timeslips on the old workstations.

    2) Backup the database.

    3) Get all users out of the program and clear all licenses under Station Administrator, Options, Licenses in Use.

    4) Hook up the new machines and map their network drives so that they match the pathing found in step 1.

    5) Browse to the installation folder, locate the LOCLINST folder in that location and run the Setup.EXE found there.

I also tend to tweak my customer's preferences a bit on a new install, but those are the basic steps.

    Hope this helps.
