initial deposit into trust account was entered as "deposit" would it be problem?

SOLVED

We are using Timeslips 2012 version. When  entering  initial deposit into trust account I've used "Deposit" option. My predecessor used "Payment to Account'. How are they different? Will it affect the future billing? If I need to correct it how can it be done?

Many thanks in advance

Payment to account and Deposit are pretty much the same thing. Payment to Account is supposedly payments from the client and Deposit is supposedly payment from another source. In practice, it doesn't really matter but I do suggest consistency. The one thing I don't recommend it entering the beginning balance on the new matter setup screen. If you do that you can't edit it at all.

For deposit or payment to account, you usually have to delete the transaction and re-enter if you want to change it.
