Generating Bills

I am new to Timeslips and have run into a situation that I cannot figure out.  I have 3 attorneys whose billing is done through Timeslips.  I have been able to generate two of the attorney's bills for August without  a problem, but I have one attorney's bills that when I generate the bill it is printing each client's bill all the way back to the first entry ever posted on the client's bill.  I only want to print the bill for the month of August.  I am using Timeslips 2010.  Any thoughts or suggestions, please?

Hmm, that is a bit hard to answer.  Typically, once an entry has appeared on a bill and that bill has been approved, the entry will not appear on a bill again. (It is how the system prevents double billing the same item.)

So, here, either the previous bills have never been approved, so the slips are still waiting to be billed.   Or you are perhaps running a History Bill for the Court report instead of a Generate Bills?

You might just have to get someone to remote in and look at it to figure it out.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for the suggestion Nancy.  I am taking the identical steps when generating the bills for each attorney so I do not believe that I am running a History Bill.  I did attempt to run a history bill and it does look different than the bills that are generating.  You suggested that someone could remote in and look at it.  Can you let me know how to go about getting that type of help?

    Sands:

Remoting in to take a look and help out is pretty much what a Certified Consultant does for a living, so really any of us who frequent this forum could do that for you.

Do you have a support agreement with Sage Timeslips?  If so, I'd exhaust that option first since you've paid for it up front.

If not, then you would need to work with a Certified Consultant.  We usually charge on an hourly rate basis.

Just give me a call or email at the information below if you would like to talk about it.
