Is it only when entering a payment? Can other workstations enter payments? Assuming other workstations can, then from outside of Timeslips create a notepad file and save it in the same folder where the Timeslips data resides. Then delete the notepad file. If this works, then I would clear all temp files on your workstation. If still not working I would uninstall and reinstall the Borland database engine. Instructions for this are in the Timeslips knowledgebase and in this forum.

If others can do other work but not enter payments then you need to get everyone out of Timeslips, make a backup and run a database verification with only look for errors checked. This should be done on the server or on a local copy of the database.

All other machines can function with same database fine.

    machine has admin privileges

    tried this......

    Remove BDE

Open Windows Explorer and locate the following folders:

Note: If the folder does not exist, move on to the next in the list. Some folders are from older versions of Borland

    Delete the LDAPI folder  C:\Idapi

Delete the Borland folder  C:\Program Files\Borland and, if present C:\Program Files (x86)\Borland

Delete the Borland Shared folder  C:\Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared and, if present C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ Borland Shared

    Remove other versions of BDE

Click Start, Find, Files or Folders

    Under Named type, LDAPI*

    Search the local drives

Remove any LDAPI folders found. (Commonly under Corel/Shared/ if using Wordperfect)

Note: If you cannot remove all Borland files because they are in use, remove all files possible & any registry keys. Restart the workstation and delete the rest of the files.

    Remove BDE Registry Keys

    Click Start, Run

Type in REGEDIT and press Enter

Make a backup of the registry

    Click HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software

    Delete Borland

    Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software

    Delete Borland

Note: If a 64-bit Operating System, the location in the registry will be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Wow6432Node\Software

    Close the registry editor

    Reinstall BDE

Place the Timeslips CD in the CD-ROM drive

    Exit the Timeslips installer

    Click on Start, Run, Browse

    Locate the CD-ROM drive

    Open the Timeslip folder

    Open the BDE32 folder

    Double-Click on Setup.exe

Click OK to run the install

    still getting 9219 error :-/

Im an idiot....      hit start, in the search/run %temp%  made sure I was showing hidden files and moved out all the temp files to another directory (I didn't want to delete them yet just in case)

So thats what fixed it..... killin the temp files.

Thank you Caren2 for your help!
