I called and asked Sage about this back in April and was expecting the new HRMS 2017 to address this. It might be worth calling again. They haven't updated the KB since article#16912 

I ended up creating my own report that uses the hours and earnings from check details and we have the job codes mapped to Class1. If you don't want to mess with the payroll database you can get the hours and earnings info from the b tables in the SageHRMS_Live database. Using the b-tales is the better optoin, but I also wanted to create something our Sage300 payroll clients could potentially use.
