Re-adding Abra Benefits Messenger to the Navigation Pane

If you have Abra Benefits Messenger (ABM), and it has disappeared from the navigation path, you can manually add it back using Customize Menu.

  1. Logon to Sage Abra Suite as 'Master; and make sure no one is logged into Sage Abra Suite.
  2. From the Navigation pane, select System, Processes, and Customize Menu.
  3. Choose System from the Product drop down box.
  4. Choose Quick Launch from the Activity drop down box.
  5. Choose All from the Button drop down box.
  6. Click the Add button.
  7. Enter Benefits Messenger in the Button box.
  8. In the button drop down choose Benefits Messenger.
  9. Choose the Add button.
  10. Enter Carrier Plans Setup in the Title box.
  11. In the Program box, choose the Browse button on the right.
  12. Choose the location of the Abra Benefits Messenger Apps file.
    - Note: The default installation path is based on the operating system.
  13. If you would like to add a bitmap, browse and choose the Bitmap in the Bitmap box. By default this would be "C:\Program Files\Sage Software\Sage Abra Benefits Messenger\Appstart.exe".
  14. In the Parameters box, enter /app Carriers.exe /args 'PLANS 0'.
  15. Choose OK button.
  16. In the Button drop down, choose Benefits Messenger.
  17. Choose the Add button.
  18. Enter Code Mapping Setup in the Title box. If you would like to add a bitmap browse and choose the Bitmap in the Bitmap box. By default this would be "C:\Program Files\Sage Software\Sage Abra Benefits Messenger\Appstart.exe".
  19. In the Parameters box, enter /app 'Code Mapping.exe' /args 0.
  20. Choose Ok.
  21. In the Button drop down choose Benefits Messenger.
  22. Choose the Add button.
  23. Enter Employee Benefits Setup in the Title box. If you would like to add a bitmap browse and choose the Bitmap in the Bitmap box. By default this would be "C:\Program Files\Sage Software\Sage Abra Benefits Messenger\Appstart.exe".
  24. In the Parameters box, enter /app Employee.exe /args 0.
  25. Choose Ok.
  26. In the Button drop down choose Benefits Messenger.
  27. Choose the Add button.
  28. Enter Benefits Messenger Assistant in the Title box. If you would like to add a bitmap browse and choose the Bitmap in the Bitmap box. By default this would be "C:\Program Files\Sage Software\Sage Abra Benefits Messenger\Appstart.exe".
  29. In the Parameters box, enter /app ValidationTester.exe /args 0.
  30. Choose Ok.
  31. In the Button drop down choose Benefits Messenger.
  32. Choose the Add button.
  33. Enter Benefits Messenger Guide in the Title box.
  34. If you would like to add a bitmap browse and choose the Bitmap in the Bitmap box. By default this would be "C:\Program Files\Sage Software\Sage Abra Benefits Messenger\Appstart.exe".
  35. In the Parameters box, enter /app ProcessWizard.exe /args 0.
  36. Choose Ok.
  37. Choose again and you will be prompted to Rebuild System Files.
  38. Choose Yes.
  39. After the System Rebuild, log on as 'Master' user and confirm that the Benefit Messenger icons are working correctly.
  40. Grant Group Admin permissions for the security group whose members will be using the Benefits Messenger icons in Sage Abra Suite.
