I am seeking assistance in creating a formula with the formula wizard that will make this certain criteria true:

If the product starts with an R, then this field is mandatory.

Update: I created this condition on the control table:

left$(num$([M:WE6SCA1]ITMREF), 1) = num$(R)

It seems to NOT be working correctly. The fields that I apply the control table to is making everything mandatory and not sorting based on if the product is being with an R
